Our team has developed content for mobile applications, brochures and presentations aimed at improving public health and educating patients. In these efforts we seek to make scientific and medical information accessible to a broad range of target audiences. It’s our hope that these materials empower individuals to make more informed decisions about their health.
We understand that accuracy is paramount when it comes to health communication. It is also imperative to treat patients and their families with respect. Our work has included conducting literature reviews to gather the latest research, selecting illustrative images, working closely with patients and expert reviewers, and ensuring that key information is presented with sensitivity to the needs of patients and their families.
Example projects include:
- Writing content and audience engagement materials for Manage My Surgery, a mobile application by Higgs Boson Health.
- Writing patient profiles for Duke neurosurgeon Nandan Lad, MD, PhD highlighting patient experiences with treatments such as spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and peripheral nerve stimulation.
- Writing brochures, factsheets and presentations geared toward patients with specific conditions such as heart disease and chronic pain.
- As part of a previous job with government contractor MDB, Inc., Anne helped develop an eight-page brochure on the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs for pregnant and breastfeeding women participating in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC).
